You can modify prices for all customers by selecting the "Special Pricing" tab in Inventory Maintenance (Options/Administrative(5)/Inventory Maintenance(A). The Sale Pricing section enables you to specify a discount % off the base selling price for a specific date range. For example you can give a 10% discount for item# 123456, which has a base price of $3.99, if purchased between 12/15/08-12/19/08. When purchased on 12/16/08 it will display a price of $3.59 instead of $3.99. The Bulk Pricing section enables you to set a lower price if a certain quantity of a particular item is purchased. For example for item# 123456, which has a base price of $3.99, you can specify a price of $10.00 if 3 are purchased (instead of $11.97). The Time Based Pricing section enables you to override the base price of an item for a time range for a certain day of the week. For example for item# 123456, which has a base price of $3.99, you can specify a price of $3.49 if it is purchased on any Wednesday between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM. Inventory Maintenance also enables you to set additional pricing discounts for selected customers. The "Price Levels" tab enables you to assign price discounts to Price Levels A to Z. Then in customer maintenance (Options/Administrative(5)/Customer Maintenance(E) ) you can assign to a customer one of 26 Discount Levels, A to Z. When that customer purchases an item for which its inventory maintenance Price Level has been enabled for the matching letter A to Z, the customer will be charged the discounted price associated with that Price Level. For example for item# 123456, which sells for $3.99, you can assign to Price Levels B a 10% discount, setting the selling price at $3.59 for selected customers. Then in Customer Maintenance you can assign customer# 123 a Discount Level of B. Then when customer# 123 buys item# 123456 he will be charged $3.59 instead of $3.99.
